Pinterest

I'm not sure how many of my fellow students from "using the internet" still follow/check out others blogs from the same class but...on the the slight chance that some of you do I wanted to share this wonderful site called Pinterest with you.

Pinterest is sort of a social media website.  For the "down and dirty" on what the website is click here.  There is a 'board' specifically for education ideas.  Granted some of the things posted on the board aren't really educational based, but a majority of it is.  People can post ideas or things they have seen that they want to/ do use in there classroom.  Its a vast almost endless place for ideas!  I often find somethings like experiments or projects for my students to use.

The only down point to this site that to be able to "pin" things to your boards you have to have an invite or sign up.  It is quicker to get an invite and get on to the site.   However, you can sort through some of the site without being invited or being signed up.  (if you do want/need an invite, let me know and I will invite you :-) )

I encourage you to take a look through the website and hopefully you find some things on the education boards that you can use in your classrooms!
